Many of my friends ask me what is the traditional food of Kerala so i decide to give a small idea for my friends about our lunch - Sadhya (Naadan Oonu)

Avial is the main dish in Sadhya, it is really delicious and it has all main vegetables in it, not spicy at all, little bit sour as we add curd or tender mango to it. Anyone can eat it.

Sambar also has all main vegetables in it, main content is lentil and we add tamarind to it, so little bit sour you can taste, not spicy at all.

Erissery another important item which also not spicy, main content is pumpkin and beans, you will feel little sweet and coconut, anyone can eat it.


Mezhukkupuratti
Mezhukkupuratti
Mezhukkupuratti can be little bit spicy as we add dry red chilly in it, it cooked in coconut oil.


Achar and Pachadi
Achar ((Pickle) first from left), Pachadi (first from right).
Achar is a Malayalam word means pickle, we have a lot of pickles in our home, however main pickle is Mango and Lime, the one in picture is mango pickle which is spicy and sour.

Pachadi is nothing but cucumber and yoghurt cooked in Kerala style, not spicy, anyone can eat it.

Pulissery is just curd with coconut cooked in Kerala style, not spicy, little sour, anyone can eat it.

I am not going to talk anything about Banana chips because Kerala chips is World famous and everyone knows what is it.
